Youth Ministry at Oakville Presbyterian is based on the five intentions of the Presbyterian Youth Ministry:
- To call young people to be disciples of Jesus Christ.
- To respond to the needs and the interests of young people.
- To work together, youth and adults, in partnership.
- To be connected to the whole church, community, and the world.
- To include all young people, reaching out and inviting them to belong to the community of faith.
To these ends, Youth Ministry at Oakville Presbyterian is a vital and intricate part of the overall life of our congregation. We seek to enable our young people, their families, and their adult leaders to not only find a place to experiene God's grace and love for them through Jesus Christ, but also to show that love to others through leadership and participation in a number of opportunities. Through worship, education, and mission we encourage our youth to seek an understanding of the ways the Holy Spirit is at work enabling them to live into God's plan for their lives.
There is no weekly youth group program during the summer. However, during the school year Oakville offers youth groups for two age groups: senior high and middle school (6th grade through 8th).
