Volunteer Opportunties at Oakville Church
Celebration Planning is under way foir the annual end of VBS celebration, which will be held after worship service on June 25. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate and set up for the outdoor barbecue. For more information, contact Jodie Schilling or Jan Lowther.
Wanted a child size table and two children chairs to provide a reading/looking space in the Library for the young people. The table should have rounded edges. Please contact Jim Sisson at 752-7568 if you have questions.
The Music and Worship Ministry Team is seeking a volunteer to serve as the usher chair. For more information contact the church office or Flip Anderson at 758-0647.
The Fellowship Team ministry always welcomes volunteers to serve refreshments during the coffee hour immediately following the worship service. A sign-up sheet is available in the Fellowship Hall.
The Christian Education team ministry seeks volunteers to help teach both Adult and Youth classes. We are also looking for an Assistant Sunday School Superintendent. For more information contact the church office or Ruth Meyer at 758-0647.
The Outreach Ministry Team is looking for new members. If you are interested in helping fulfill the Great Commission and to help people find a good place to worship and fellowship, please contact Eric Shilling at 753-2608.
Jim Sisson, our Librarian, is looking for volunteers to help with the Librarian position. He is willing to train anyone who is interested. This could be a "retired" person, one or two of our youth or anyone interested in books! Contact the church office at 758-0647.
Playground, Volunteers are needed to help design the playground and install the playground equipment SW of the Fellowship Hall. If you have ideas or are willing to help in any way, contact Pastor John. We especially need input from parents with young children!
Volunteer Opportunties in the Community:
Fish of Albany, Inc.
Fish provides individuals with basic needs: food, clothing, medicine, gasoline, bus tickets, emergency and transitional shelter for pregnant and parenting teens, and transitional housing for individuals and families.
Volunteers are needed to answer phones and direct clients to services, pack food boxes, sort clothing, yardwork, building mantenance, and serving on the Board of Directors.
Volunteers of all types are needed, including teens, adults, families, seniors, and men's and women's groups.

Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry.
