In order to help Bonny and others to maintain the beautiful church grounds, Session agreed to the construction of a tool and storage shed. We are looking to build it with donated materials. If you have any of the following materials you would like to donate to the project or would like to contribute toward the purchase of new materials,      contact Lloyd Jochimsen. He is heading up the project.

If you haven’t been by the church for a while, you should come look at the changes.

Phase One [Fellowship Hall expansion, temporary office space, and unfinished basement] is pretty much complete. Our thanks to all who helped make this dream a reality.

John and Bonny Bowens have put in countless hours and back-breaking work into the landscaping and sprinkler system. We are deeply appreciative for all of their work in “beautifying” the grounds around the church and manse. Their labor will  continue to bear much fruit in the months and years to come. Our thanks also to Dale Kinsman for his help and the use of his equipment.

More changes will be coming to the buildings and grounds. Soon the exterior of the west wall of the sanctuary will be replaced as well as the west and south side of the steeple above the roof.  This is to prevent further water damage to the building. Once this is complete, the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall will get a fresh coat of paint. The windows in the Sanctuary will be replaced this summer as well.  We will also be pouring a patio off the southwest corner of the expanded Fellowship Hall. We are looking for volunteers for this. If you would like to help with this project, let us know.

The southwest corner of the property will eventually be transformed into a playground, picnic and group game area!

Plans are under way for Phase Two of our Building Expansion Project. This entails removing the interior south wall of the sanctuary and moving the stage area against the south wall of the sanctuary building. This will allow us to add four more rows of pews and create more seating.

It is exciting to see all of the changes and improvements to the buildings and grounds. However, as exciting and important all of this is, it is all to serve the greater purpose of growing in our relationship with God and others and reaching out to those who don’t have a church family.
